Smoking salmon is easy - if you have a smoker. Great investment - this is a smoker/grill combination, but small smokers are inexpensive and worth it. Get 1/2 a salmon (they are cut down the middle. No worries - there's no head:) We rub the salmon in molasses and sprinkle with pepper & garlic powder and smoke for about 20 minutes (don't over-smoke or it will be tough and dry). You can rub the salmon with anything you like -spices, oil, whatever! Serve the salmon with spicy mustard or cream cheese, chopped red onion, chopped hard boiled egg, capers and crackers. It's wonderful!
