Putting on the Ritts Custom Catering Susan has always had a big interest in food – and cooking. At a young age, Susan was the designated daughter that would fry the bacon and toast the English muffins for family Sunday brunches, make the shortbread pudding cake for birthdays and try new food “combinations” to spring on her parents and sisters. After college graduation, Susan worked briefly as a sales representative for a media company and then relocated to Knoxville, TN. She soon started a catering company called Salads, Etc. , offering a lunch delivery service. Eventually one of her biggest clients recruited Susan to reenter the media world. Susan spent many years working her way up the professional ladder as a media sales executive. As her position required frequent travel, her cooking career took a backseat. However, she never lost the desire to experience food and the frequent travel offered the opportunity to learn and sample local cuisines in the many cities she visited. Eventually the ”foodie” bug hit hard enough that Susan left the media world and focused her professional energies on her love of catering and entertaining. After relocating to a beautiful farm outside of Minneapolis, Voila! Putting on the Ritts was born. Join Susan on her journey to create and share fantastic entertaining ideas, cooking classes, gardening tips and party recipes to make your next event unique and memorable. And the adventure begins... |
